| Abstract: | A comparison of conventional heating and microwave irradiation in the synthesis of azaheterocycles is discussed. Microwave irradiation was found to increase the yields of the desired products, shorten the reaction times, and extended this chemistry to recalcitrant amide substrates and weak nucleophiles. |
