Abstract:The structures of a procyanidin tetramer and pentamer from unripe apple (Malus pumila) were elucidated by low-temperature NMR analysis at −34 °C. These structures were epicatechin-(4β→6)-epicatechin-(4β→8)-epicatechin-(4β→8)-epicatechin (1)] and epicatechin-(4β→8)-epicatechin-(4β→8)-epicatechin-(4β→8)-epicatechin-(4β→8)-epicatechin (2)].
