| Abstract: | Circular segment shaped plates are analyzed to determine their natural frequencies and mode shapes of vibration. The analysis is based on the finite element approach. The curved sided triangular plate bending element is used for solving the problem. The effect of variation of the size of the plate on the vibrational characteristics is studied and several important conclusions are made. |
