Polarized luminescence of erythrosine molecules adsorbed on a semiconductor-dielectric structure

Abstract:The dependences of the degree of polarization of fluorescence of erythrosine molecules adsorbed on Ge-GeO2 structures on the thickness of the oxide layer, the surface charge, and the concentration of erythrosine are studied. The values of reorientation barriers and times of vibrational relaxation of adsorbed molecules are found. The effect of the surface charge, the thickness of the oxide layer, and the concentration of water molecules on the rotational-vibrational relaxation of adsorbed erythrosine molecules is revealed.
