Oscillating cavity eigenmodes |

| Abstract: | It is shown that the spectra of a planar fixed-length cavity executing periodic oscillations are described by fractal curves of the devil’s staircase type. In the case of the cavity length comparable to the oscillation period, eigenmodes represent a sequence of short pulses. |
