Abstract:
Leaves of Cacalia hastate L. (Asteraceae) were composed of free sugars, water-soluble polysaccharides (arabinogalactan type), pectinic substances, hemicelluloses, and cellulose. The hypoglycemic activity was determined for the water-soluble polysaccharides and pectinic substances.
