Abstract: | Optical absorption, thermoluminescence, infrared spectra and differential thermal analysis of three different tellurite glass systems viz., ZnF2-As2O3-TeO2, ZnF2-Bi2O3-TeO2 and ZnF2-P2O5-TeO2 containing 0.4% of Cr2O3, have been investigated. Results have been analysed in the light of different oxidation states of chromium ion and the most suitable host for lasing Cr3+ ions has been identified and reported. |
