Abstract: | ![]() We demonstrate that backscatter data processed by the two-point method can provide spatial loss results in a form that allows the immediate interpretation of joint loss. Furthermore, all the joints in a typical repeater span can be compared from the same base line and a threshold level introduced for the rejection or acceptance of joints, a feature which facilitates field measurement. |
