| Abstract: | 2-Propenyl tin species, prepared from 3-halopropenes or 2-propenyl mesylate with tin(IV) chloride and tetrabutylammonium iodide in dichloromethane, causes nucleophilic addition to aldehydes to produce the corresponding homoallylic alcohols. |
