| Abstract: | A new method for the synthesis of spiro‐β‐lactams tethered to tetrahydrofuran rings is described. The procedure is based on Ru‐catalyzed metathesis sequences with oxanorbornene precursors easily obtained by the Staudinger 2+2] cycloaddition of related imines. |
