| Abstract: | A study is carried out on the filtration effect of two common filters made from different materials on the volatile carbonyl compounds in cigarette mainstream smoke.The results show that the order of filtration effect of acetate filter on the volatile carbonyl compounds in cigarette mainstream smoke is formaldehyde;methyl ethyl ketone,acrolein,butyraldehyde,crontonaldehyde,acetone and acetaldehyde;the order of filtration effect of polypropylene filter on the volatile carbonyl compounds in cigarette mainstream smoke is methyl ethyl ketone,formaldehyde,acrolein,butyraldehyde,crotonaldehyde,acetone and acetaldehyde.The filtration effect of two different filters is compared.It finds that acetate filter is better than polypropylene filter in filtration effect on the volatile carbonyl compounds in cigarette mainstream smoke. |
