Study of penetration effects in the E1 and M1 transitions in 44Sc

Abstract:	Conversion coefficients for the E1 and M1 transitions in the ⁴⁴Ti decay have been measured with high accuracy using the sum peak and multidimensional coincidence methods. The following values have been obtained: α_K(E1) = 0.077 ± 0.003 and α_K(M1) = 0.014 ± 0.001. A significant contribution of the penetration effects for the M1 transition has been shown. The penetration parameter λ is determined to be ?260 ± 30 has been determined.
