| Abstract: | The synthesis and characterization of novel graft copolymers containing side-chain liquid-crystalline backbones and polystyrene grafts are described. The liquid-crystalline behaviour and the phase separation are examined with respect to the molecular weight of the grafts and the composition of the graft copolymers. |
