Abstract:In order to gain information about the coordinating properties of the chelating ligands Me2XGeMe2(CH2)2X′Me2 (abbr. XGeCCX′) the chemical and spectroscopic results obtained during the synthesis of the M(CO)4(XGeCCX′) complexes (M = Cr, Mo, W; X, X′ = N, P, As) are critically discussed and compared with the results for the analogous five-membered ring chelates M(CO)4(KGeCX′).
