Laser Spectroscopy Programme at the Jyväskylä IGISOL

This paper reviews the status of the laser spectroscopy programme being carried using the IGISOL mass separator in combination with an RFQ cooler-buncher. Measurements in the zirconium region are being extended to the yttrium isotopes. Two K = 8 isomers, in ¹⁷⁶Yb and ¹³⁰Ba, are found to have smaller mean square charge radii than their ground states, and the isotope shifts of stable osmium isotopes have been measured off-line by collinear laser spectroscopy.
