| Abstract: | A simple and sensitive method for determining arsenic in ferrotungsten is presented. The alloy is dissolved in aqua regia and the arsenic reduced with K(2)S(2)O(5). The polarographic wave is recorded for an electrolyte at pH 3.0 and containing Fe(II), Mn(II), citric acid and ascorbic acid. Levels of 0.2%, and 0.003% As can be determined with errors of +/- 8 and +/- 20% respectively. The limit of detection is 0.003%. |
