| Abstract: | A characteristic finite element methods with moving mesh is presented and analyzed for the simulation of contamination by incompressible nuclear waste in porous media . We employ the mixed methods to approximate the fluid equation and characteristic finite element methods with moving mesh to approximate the concentration and temperature equation. So we can bring the advantages of the finite element method into full play . We also obtain the optimal order error estimates in L2 norm. |
