Abstract: | ![]() Dynamic control by focusing and tilting the wave front of a beam is analyzed allowing for the finite time to establish the response of the nonlinear medium for both a continuous and a discrete control algorithm. It is shown that the maximum response speed of the adaptive system is determined by the time to establish the response, the duration of the pulse, and the control constant. For the discrete control algorithm that uses an inertial mirror, a periodic operating regime is suggested to eliminate the divergence in the process of obtaining the optimum parameters.Translated from Izvestiya Vysshikh Uchebnykh Zavedenii, Fizika, No. 4, pp. 63–69, April, 1987. |
