Abstract: | In this paper, we present a mixed covolume method for parabolic equations on triangular grids. This method use the lowest order Raviart–Thomas (R–T) mixed finite element space as the trial space. We prove the optimal order of convergence for the approximate pressure and velocity in L2-norm. Furthermore, we obtain the quasi-optimal error estimates for the approximate pressure in L∞-norm. |
