Abstract:The kinetics of oxidative coupling of methane over La2O3/BaSO4 catalyst has been studied. 'The effects of internal and external diffusion were eliminated by means of reducing the pellet size of catalyst and increasing the linear velocity, respectively. The kinetic equation at 680oC was led to the follow The Langmuir-Hinsthwood mechanism proposed0 is consistent with the kinetic experimental results.
