Abstract: | ![]() A practical algorithm is developed for automated mesh design in finite element stress analysis. A regional mixed mesh improvement procedure is introduced. The error control, algorithm implementation, code development, and the solution accuracy are discussed. Numerical examples include automated mesh designs for plane elastic media with singularities. The efficiency of the procedure is demonstrated. |
