Abstract:CaTiO3:Er3+ (5%) nanocrystals were obtained by sol–gel method under acidic conditions. The sizes of nanocrystals were 40 nm. Strong green anti-Stokes emission was observed after excitation of the 4I9/2 and 4I11/2 level. The emission is due to excited state absorption (ESA) and energy transfer upconversion (ETU).
