Abstract:The possibility of the separation of organophosphorus and inorganic phosphorus by XAD-4 was investigated. It was found that newly fixed XAD-4 column could adsorb some inorganic phosphorus (PO(_4~3-)). Pre-saturation of the column with ppm level of inorganic phosphorus was used to insure the quantitative separation of organophosphorus and inorganic phosphorus. The separation conditions were optimized for guava juice and the separation efficiency was proved ty GC. The adsorption rate of organophosphorus is 95% and the recovery of inorganic phosphorus is 94%. A new method was established for the analysis of the state of phosphorus in guava juice.
