Abstract

Copper oxide has been studied at high pressure up to 50 GPa. A monoclinic structure was compatible with the measurements at all pressures, and no phase change was observed. A bulk modulus, B0, = 98 GPa, and its pressure derivative B′0 = 5.6 was obtained.
