Bildung siliciumorganischer Verbindungen. XXXXIV. Synthese und Reaktionen Si-funktioneller 1, 3, 5, 7-Tetrasila-cyclo-octane

The synthesis of the HSi?resp. BrSi? containing 1,3,5,7-tetrasila-cyclooctanes (a) and (b) is described. (a) can be prepared from meH₂Si? CH₂? Sime₂? CH₂? SiHme? CH₂? Sime₂? CH₂Br resp. from meBrHSi? CH₂? Sime₂? CH₂? SiHme? CH₂? Sime₂? CH₂Br with Li and converted to (b) with Br₂. The siloxane (c) (m.p. 37–39°C) is formed by hydrolysis of (b) and also during the reaction of (b) with CH₂Br₂ and Li in (C₂H₅)₂O because of a cleavage of the ether.
