Research on Reduction of PMD in Single Mode Fiber |

| Abstract: | Polarization mode dispersion in fiber optic seriously limits the development of high capacity optical fiber communication system. Nonlinear pulse transmitted in fiber was simulated through computer, it is found that nonlinearity can compress pulse and reduce PMD (polarization mode dispersion) drasticaly in birefringent or random birefringent fiber for any shaped pulse. |
