Abstract:the TG and DTG curves of eight humic acids from different origin were determined and the peaks of those curves were classified. The kinetic parameters for heat-degradation of eight HA were obtained by Coast-Redfern method, the activation energy of five humic acids from weathered coal at decarboxyl stage is smaller, from 58.6 to 86.46 kJ/mol; that of HA from peat is higher from 84.8 to 112.20 kJ/mol; while that of HA from soil is the highest, equals to 156.33 kJ/mol, which agrees with those in the literature.This paper first reported the kinetic equations and parameters for eight humic acids at the stage of multi-ring hydrocarbons and various aromatic nucleus heat-degradation.
