| Abstract: | The necessary condition for the existence of a resolvable balanced incomplete block design on v points, with  = 1 and k = 8, is that v  8 mod 56. With the exception of 66 values of v, this condition is shown to be sufficient. The largest exceptional value of v is 24480. |
