Semiempirical model description of the low energy electron scattering from helium

The simple model introduced by Schrader to study positron-atom interactions is employed in the case of electron-helium elastic scattering. It is found that when combined with the AAFEGE exchange potential this model can provide quite satisfactory differential and total cross sections for impact energies larger than 3eV.
