| Abstract: | Using the differentiation method for the mode equation of the trapezoidal cross-section dieleotrio optical waveguide, the expression of mode absorption loss coefficient is derived. As an example SiO2/GaAs/AlGaAs waveguide is calculated and the relative errors are discussed. |
