Abstract:A way to specify the preferable basis which determines the ensemble of universes in the many-worlds conception of quantum theory is proposed. This way is based on a consideration of the classical limit in quantum mechanics. The specified basis is shown to be necessary and sufficient for comparison of theory with observations.
