| Abstract: | In this paper the general solutions of thick rectangular plates with two adjacent free edges have been obtained by means of the method of superposition. Each component of superposition has satisfied exactly the governing differential equation of thick plates, all boundary conditions along simply supported edges, and two boundary conditions on free or clamped edges. For their summation to satisfy all boundary conditions along a free edge or along a clamped edge, only one group of linear infinite algebraic equations are required here, but two in the article by V. Pane. |
