| Abstract: | We report herein the use of triphenylphosphine (TPP) as a new catalyst for the one-pot Biginelli reaction coupling of β-ketoesters, aldehydes and urea (or thiourea) to afford the corresponding dihydropyrimidinones/thiones. |
