| Abstract: | The asymmetric Friedel–Crafts alkylation of indoles with α,β-unsaturated aldehydes was promoted by the novel imidazolethiones to afford the corresponding adducts in moderate to excellent yields and high enantioselectivities under mild reaction conditions. |
