The Relations Between the Development Course of Landform and Soil Formation in Jiaxing-Huzhou Holocene Sedimentary Plain of North Zhijiang

The development course of landform and sedimentary parent material are the principal regional elements of soil formation in accumulation plain area. To a great extent,the difference of sedimentary environment and sedimentary parent material determines the formation and distribution of various soil genus. According to field study and experimental analysis of the samples as well as the data from the Second General Survey of Soil, the authors belive that the sedimentary parent material in Jiaxing-Huzhou plain can be divided into five types in this paper ,such as,river facies,river-sea transitional facies, lake-swamp facies, lake shore facies and marine facies etc.The internal relations between the development of principal soil genus and sedimentary parent material types are analysed.
