A planar Schottky-barrier diode (SBD) is represented by two parallel-connected diodes that describe processes in the central region and in the leakage region. Independent fluctuations of the junction parameters and of the base resistances are sources of 1/F noise. The experimentally verified noise model developed on this basis explains the diversity of current and dependences of SBD noise observed in practice.St. Petersburg State Engineering University.
