Rajakumar, A.M.A. Rasheed, Tetrahedron 61（22） （2005） 5351] para-cyclophane derivative was synthesized via intramolecular esterification of a dipeptide surrogate containing asparagine to form tetrahydropyrimidinone ring. The structures of the product and intermediates were characterized by 1H NMR, 13C NMR and mass spectrum.
