The acoustic and thermal properties of the liquid–glass transitions of propylene glycol and its oligomers, poly (propylene glycol)s, were studied by temperature modulated DSC and Brillouin scattering. The fragility indices were determined from Angell plots using the observed modulation frequency dependence of the complex heat capacity. The variation in the glass transition temperatures is discussed on the basis of the free volume theory. The relaxation time of the structural relaxation obeys the Vogel–Fulcher law, and its high frequency end is in good agreement with the result of the dielectric measurement in the literature. The correlation between the observed thermal expansion coefficients and the glass transition temperature is discussed based on the free volume theory. The sound velocity and attenuation were accurately determined as a function of the temperature by Brillouin scattering by combination with the refractive index measurement. The relaxation dynamics were discussed by considering the relaxation from segmental motions. All of these physical properties were discussed based on the third-order anharmonicity and the Grüneisen parameter.  相似文献

The degree of dissociation of molecular hydrogen in a RF parallel plate plasma reactor is analyzed by three dif erent emission spectroscopic methods. These schemes are based on the comparison of line intensities of atomic and molecular hydrogen and of argon which is admixed as a tracer gas (actinometry). The different schemes yield similar results in the parameter ranges where they are applicable. The basic assumptions, the available cross sections, and the conditions and limitations of applicability of the different schemes are compared and discussed.  相似文献

This article presents the results of the shear viscosity and the dielectric relaxation measurements performed for α-tocopherol and α-tocopherol acetate, two principal compounds from the vitamin E group. The temperature dependence of the viscosity and dielectric relaxation time of the compounds can be very well reproduced with the Vogel–Fulcher–Tammann equation. It was found that for both tocopherols, the viscosity and the relaxation time attain their infinite high value (solid-like state) at the temperature of ~60 K below the transition to the glass state.  相似文献

Molecular motion and relaxation studies using a thermal windowing thermally stimulated depolarization current (TW‐TSDC) were performed for aliphatic polyureas 7 and 9. Global thermally stimulated depolarization current gave three characteristic major peaks corresponding to the α, β, and γ relaxation modes at 78.5, −44, and −136°C for polyurea 7 and at 80, −50, and −134°C for polyurea 9, respectively. The α relaxation is related to the large‐scale molecular motion due to micro‐Brownian motion of long‐range segments. This relaxation is significantly related to the glass‐transition temperature. The β relaxation is caused by the local thermal motion of long‐chain segments. The γ relaxation is caused by the limited local motion of hydrocarbon sections. Temperature dependence of relaxation times was expressed well using Vogel–Tammann–Fulcher (VTF) expression. 3‐D simulation of dielectric constants of dielectric strength and loss factor were performed in the frequency range from 10−6 to 104 Hz and temperature range from −150 to 250°C, using the relaxation parameters obtained from the TW‐TSDC method. © 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. A dipole-quadrupole electron-impact excitation model, consistent with molecular symmetry rules, is presented to fit ro-vibronic spectra of the hydrogen Fulcher-α Q-branch line emissions for passively measuring the rotational temperature of hydrogen neutral molecules in kinetic plasmas with the coronal equilibrium approximation. A quasi-rotational temperature and quadrupole contribution factor are adjustable parameters in the model. Quadrupole excitation is possible due to a violation of the 1st Born approximation for low to medium energy electrons (up to several hundred eV). The Born-Oppenheimer and Franck-Condon approximations are implicitly shown to hold. A quadrupole contribution of 10% is shown to fit experimental data at several temperatures from different experiments with electron energies from several to 100 eV. A convenient chart is produced to graphically determine the vibrational temperature of the hydrogen molecules from diagonal band intensities, if the ground state distribution is Boltzmann. Hydrogen vibrational modes are long-lived, surviving up to thousands of wall collisions, consistent with multiple other molecular dynamics computational results. The importance of inter-molecular collisions during a plasma pulse is also discussed.  相似文献

 利用螺旋波等离子体化学气相沉积(HWP-CVD)技术,以氢气为反应气体产生等离子体。通过采集氢的可见到紫外发射光谱,对等离子体进行了原位诊断,由氢Balmer系分析得到了不同实验参数对激发态氢原子相对密度的影响,通过对Fulcher带的分析,得到实验参数对氢振动温度的影响。结果表明:低压氢等离子体状态可借用日冕模型来诊断;激发态氢原子密度随入射功率增加而增加,随压强增加而减少,氢分子振动温度随压强增加先增大后减小;电子温度和电子密度是低压氢等离子体状态变化的关键因素。  相似文献
