Joint logistics and financial services by a 3PL firm   总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4  
Integrated logistics and financial services have been practiced by third party logistics (3PL) firms for years; however, the literature has been silent on the value of 3PL firms as credit providers in budget-constrained supply chains. This paper investigates an extended supply chain model with a supplier, a budget-constrained retailer, a bank, and a 3PL firm, in which the retailer has insufficient initial budget and may borrow or obtain trade credit from either a bank (traditional role) or a 3PL firm (control role). Our analysis indicates that the control role model yields higher profits not only for the 3PL firm but also for the supplier, the retailer, and the entire supply chain. In comparison with a supplier credit model where the supplier provides the trade credit, the control role model yields a better performance for the supply chain as long as the 3PL firm’s marginal profit is greater than that of the supplier. We further demonstrate that, for all players, both the control role and supplier credit models can outperform the classic newsvendor model without budget constraint.  相似文献

In today’s global free market, third-party logistics providers (3PLs) are becoming increasingly important. This paper studies a problem faced by a 3PL operating a warehouse in Shanghai, China, under contract with a major manufacturer of children’s clothing based in the United States. At the warehouse, the 3PL receives textile parcel shipments from the suppliers located in China; each shipment is destined for different retail stores located across the United Sates. These shipments must be consolidated and loaded into containers of varying sizes and costs, and then sent along shipping routes to different destination ports. An express company, such as UPS and FedEx, unloads the shipments from the containers at the destination ports and distributes them to their corresponding stores or retailers by parcel delivery. The objective is to find an allocation that minimizes the total container transportation and parcel delivery costs. We formulate the problem into an integer programming model, and also propose a memetic algorithm approach to solve the problem practically. A demonstration of a good solution to this problem was a decisive factor in the awarding of the contract to the 3PL in question.  相似文献

讨论基于提前期压缩的供应链利益协调问题。供应商采用批量分解方式向采购商供货,由3 PL承担运输。供应链成员通过提前期赶工压缩提前期,降低成本。基于斯坦克尔伯格博弈模型,设计一种决策原则,对采购商、供应商、3PL和系统四方成本节约情况进行比较并根据决策原则挑选出最佳方案。仿真分析讨论了相关参数变化对决策变量和各方成本节约额的影响。结论表明,三方博弈的结果倾向于选择A模式或D模式,且当采购商单位库存成本较大时,各方成本节约额随采购商订货成本变化波动较大。结论证明了基于提前期压缩的博弈决策方式的有效性。  相似文献

根据评价第三方物流客户服务绩效的KPI指标体系,考虑到评价过程中信息的不完全性以及评判者思维模糊性的特点,将综合评价中传统的信息集结算子推广到更一般的三角模运算上,以此建立了基于三角模算子的第三方物流客户服务绩效的灰色模糊综合评判模型。作为综合评价中传统信息集结算子的推广,该模型具有更广泛的适用范围。  相似文献

对第三方物流服务质量评价与选择属于多属性的群决策问题.为解决传统物流服务商的选择和评价中专家主观性问题,提出了基于三参数区间数群决策的第三方物流服务商选择方法.分析了三参数区间数的概念,对三参数区间数运用偏差函数确定决策专家的权重,根据三参数区间数偏好序概率矩阵和权重,求解第三方物流服务商的排序问题.最后通过实例验证了三参数区间数群决策算法的有效性和可行性.  相似文献
