A scheme of magnetic calorimeter for registration of rare events
characterized by small energy release (cosmic rays, WIMPs, solitary X-ray
quanta) is proposed. The calorimeter is brought to operation by adiabatic
demagnetization, and its magnetic response is measured by a quantum
interferometer (SQUID, A. Barone and G. Paterno, Physics and applications of Josephson Effect). Special consideration is given to the specific
features of calorimeter operation in the ferromagnetic transition region.
The trigger registration of ultrasmall energy release by a ferromagnetic

A flip-chip-type gradiometer has been constructed with a 10 mm×5 mm planar DC-SQUID gradiometer fabricated on a SrTiO3 bicrystal substrate and a flux transformer made from a YBCO*/YBCO/CeO2/YSZ multilayer on a φ50.8 mm Si wafer. The coupling coefficient between the flux transformer and the planar gradiometer is 0.18. The transformer increases effectively the resolution of the gradiometer. A magnetic field gradient resolution of 73 fT·cm-1·Hz-1/2 in the white region and 596 fT·cm-1Hz-1/2 at 1 Hz has been obtained. High quality magnetocardiogram signals have been successfully measured by using this flip-chip-type gradiometer in an unshielded environment. 相似文献

Considering the properties of slow change and quasi-periodicity of
magnetocardiography (MCG) signal, we use an integrated technique of adaptive
and low-pass filtering in dealing with two-channel MCG data measured by high
$T_{\rm c}$ SQUIDs. The adaptive filter in the time domain is based on a noise feedback
normalized least-mean-square (NLMS) algorithm, and the low-pass filter with
a cutoff at 100Hz in the frequency domain characterized by Gaussian functions is
combined with a notch at the power line frequency. In this way, both
relevant and irrelevant noises in original MCG data are largely eliminated.
The method may also be useful for other slowly varying quasi-periodical

A double SQUID manipulated by fast magnetic flux pulses can be used as a
tunable flux qubit. In this paper we study the requirements for the qubit
operation and evaluate the dissipation and decoherence due to the
manipulation, with particular attention to the contribution related to the
applied tuning control, not present in simpler flux qubits. Furthermore, we
shortly discuss the possibility to use an integrated Rapid Single Flux

We propose a scheme for implementing the Deutsch-Jozsa (DJ) algorithm with superconducting quantum interference devices (SQUIDs)
in cavity quantum electrodynamics (QED). The required controlled-NOT (CNOT) operations can be easily realized based on the
resonant interaction of SQUIDs with a single-mode high-

The zero-field-cooled and field-cooled magnetizations, magnetization versus field, and remanent magnetization were measured for a cermet on the base of Al2O3 using a SQUID magnetometer in the temperature range of 2–360 K. It was shown that magnetic properties of the cermet are determined by independent ferromagnetic, paramagnetic and spin-glass contributions. The spin-glass behavior was studied. 相似文献
