A unified approach to certain problems of best local approximation

In this paper we study best local quasi-rational approximation and best local approximation from finite dimensional subspaces of vectorial functions of several variables. Our approach extends and unifies several problems concerning best local multi-point approximation in different norms.     

ASYMPTOTIC ESTIMATION FOR SOLUTION OF A CLASS OF SEMI-LINEAR ROBIN PROBLEMS

A class of semi-linear Robin problem is considered. Under appropriate assumptions, the existence and asymptotic behavior of its solution are studied more carefully. Using stretched variables, the formal asymptotic expansion of solution for the problem is constructed and the uniform validity of the solution is obtained by using the method of upper and lower solution.     

The nonlinear nonlocal singularly perturbed problems for reaction diffusion equations with a boundary perturbation

The nonlinear nonlocal singularly perturbed initial boundary value problems for reaction diffusion equations with a boundary perturbation is considered. Under suitable conditions, the outer solution of the original problem is obtained. Using the stretched variable, the composing expansion method and the expanding theory of power series the initial layer is constructed. And then using the theory of differential inequalities the asymptotic behavior of solution for the initial boundary value problems is studied. Finally the existence and uniqueness of solution for the original problem and the uniformly valid asymptotic estimation are discussed.
