In this paper we study a class of second order coefficient operators differential equation with general (possibly non local) boundary conditions. We obtain new results extending those given in a previous paper 1 . Partially blocked electrodes (PBEs) are important; many applications use non‐conductive nanoparticles (NPs) to introduce new electrode functionalities. As aggregation is a problem in NP immobilization, developing an in situ method to detect aggregation is vital to characterise such modified electrodes. We present chronoamperometry as a method for detection of NP surface aggregation and semi‐quantitative sizing of the formed aggregates, based on the diffusion limited current measured at PBEs as compared with the values calculated numerically for different blocking feature sizes. In contrast to voltammetry, no approximations on electrode kinetics are needed, making chronoamperometry a more general and reliable method. Sizing is shown for two modification methods. Upon drop casting, significant aggregation is observed, while it is minimized in electrophoretic NP deposition. The aggregate sizes determined are in semi‐quantitative agreement with ex situ microscopic analysis of the PBEs.  相似文献

Three new complexes with 3,6‐dichlorobenzene‐1,2‐dithiol (bdtCl2), namely methyltriphenylphosphonium bis(3,6‐dichlorobenzene‐1,2‐dithiolato‐κ2S,S′)cobaltate(1−), (C19H18P)[Co(C6H2Cl2S2)2], (I), bis(methyltriphenylphosphonium) bis(3,6‐dichlorobenzene‐1,2‐dithiolato‐κ2S,S′)cuprate(2−) dimethyl sulfoxide disolvate, (C19H18P)2[Cu(C6H2Cl2S2)2]·2C2H6OS, (II), and methyltriphenylphosphonium bis(3,6‐dichlorobenzene‐1,2‐dithiolato‐κ2S,S′)cuprate(1−), (C19H18P)[Cu(C6H2Cl2S2)2], (III), have been synthesized and characterized by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction. The X‐ray structure analyses of all three complexes confirm that the four donor S atoms form a slightly distorted square‐planar coordination arrangement around the central metal atom. An interesting finding for both the CuII and CuIII complexes, i.e. (II) and (III), respectively, is that the coordination polyhedra are principally the same and differ only slightly with respect to the interatomic distances.  相似文献

This includes domains where the ‐Helmholtz decomposition fails to hold. We consider the one and one‐half dimensional multi‐species relativistic Vlasov–Maxwell system with non‐decaying (in space) initial data. We prove its well‐posedness and nonrelativistic limit as the speed of light . In this article, we introduce a likelihood‐based estimation method for the stochastic volatility in mean (SVM) model with scale mixtures of normal (SMN) distributions. Our estimation method is based on the fact that the powerful hidden Markov model (HMM) machinery can be applied in order to evaluate an arbitrarily accurate approximation of the likelihood of an SVM model with SMN distributions. Likelihood‐based estimation of the parameters of stochastic volatility models, in general, and SVM models with SMN distributions, in particular, is usually regarded as challenging as the likelihood is a high‐dimensional multiple integral. However, the HMM approximation, which is very easy to implement, makes numerical maximum of the likelihood feasible and leads to simple formulae for forecast distributions, for computing appropriately defined residuals, and for decoding, that is, estimating the volatility of the process.
