The structural-phase state of the contact zone and the factors that influence on the strength of diamond retention in the diamond carbide composites were determined. Composites were obtained by the new hybrid technology that eliminates the reheating of the metalized coating. The elaborated technology combines the thermal diffusion metallization of a diamond and the sintering by the scheme of self-dosed impregnation in a one-stage technological cycle. By the methods of electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction analysis, and Raman spectroscopy the structural and phase characteristics of the interphase boundary were investigated. The improvement of chemical and mechanical adhesion between the diamond and carbide matrix was obtained. It was shown that the specific productivity of the samples with a metalized diamond component is 39% higher than those without metallization. 相似文献

This work explores coatings with thermally switchable wetting behavior, based on block copolymers that possess both hydrophilic and hydrophobic segments. The amphiphilic block copolymers were synthesized by coupling allyl-ended poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) and hydride-ended poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS) oligomers via a Pt catalyst. One near-symmetric diblock possessed an order-disorder transition temperature (TODT) of 64 °C. When cooled through TODT in ambient air, the PDMS domains wet the film's surface, producing a hydrophobic coating with a water contact angle (CA) = 90°. However, when cooled in humidified air, hydrophilic PEO domains form at the surface, yielding CA = 30–40°. The coatings can be reversibly switched between the two states by reheating above TODT, in the appropriate environment, and then cooling, rapidly generating the desired room-temperature surface wettability. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The effects of the addition of silica nanoparticles (SNPs) on wettability of regioregular poly(3‐hexylthiophene) (P3HT) organic semiconductor solutions on hydrophobic substrates and the carrier mobility in organic field‐effect transistors (OFETs) made of these films are investigated. The dewetting of films made from P3HT solutions on hydrophobic substrates modified with octadecyltrichlorosilane (ODTS) is markedly suppressed after the addition of SNPs with phenyl surfactants. This enables us to fabricate continuous P3HT/SNPs films with high crystallinity by the conventional spin‐coating technique, leading to higher mobility compared with P3HT FETs fabricated on non‐modified substrates. Moreover, the addition of SNPs with larger diameters compensates for the degradation of mobility associated with the increase in the concentration of SNPs. Solution‐processed P3HT/SNPs FETs on ODTS‐modified substrates exhibit a field‐effect mobility of 1.3 × 10?2 cm2 V?1 s?1, which is almost comparable to that of P3HT FETs without SNPs (2.1 × 10?2 cm2 V?1 s?1). © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. This work discusses the influence of changes to ultrasound (US) parameters over the nickel cobalt (Ni-Co) metal thin film properties produced by supercritical CO2 (SC-CO2) electroplating. Additionally, Ni-Co films were produced by conventional electroplating and silent SC-CO2 and compared against each other.The discussion on metal thin film properties revolves around variations to the bath type ultrasonic power (15 W and 20 W) and frequency (42 k Hz and 72 kHz) during experiments. The properties provided by the three electroplating processes and analyzed include: grain sizes, film elemental content analyses, surface microstructures, film hardness, corrosion resistance, surface roughness, crystalline structure and preferential growth, etc. From the results it was clear that quality of films produced by US-SC-CO2 was improved compared to that of films produced by silent SC-CO2, which itself was better than those produced by conventional electroplating. However, when US power was varied we observed a decline in the mechanical properties of the produced films.The combination of ultrasonic agitation with SC-CO2 allows for improved mechanical properties such as: lower surface roughness, finer grain size and surface morphologies, increased corrosion resistance and film hardness. The ultrasound agitation applied to SC-CO2 electroplating enhanced the formation of alloyed metal as ultrasonic agitation increased the electrolyte flowability during electroplating process resulting in increased mass transfer while at the same time achieving a surface cleaning effect which removed metal ions with poor adhesion and other unwanted particles. Moreover, application of ultrasonic agitation avoids the use of surfactants so only changes to the physical phenomena and no changes to the chemical composition of the deposited thin films were observed, meaning less pollution to the electrolyte and higher purity of the deposited films.The US-SC-CO2 electroplating method described in this work effectively enhanced the mechanical properties of the deposited thin films compared to those produced by both silent SC-CO2 and conventional electroplating processes. 相似文献

Ultrasonic-assisted electrodeposition was used to fabricate the nickel/graphene oxide composite coatings with high hardness, low friction coefficient, and high wear resistance. In the present study, the effects of ultrasonic power and concentration of graphene oxide on the mechanical and tribological properties of the electrodeposited nickel/graphene oxide composite coatings were systematically studied. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analyses showed that the crystallite size of the nickel decreased with an increase of ultrasonic power (0–50 W, 40 KHz, square wave) and concentration of graphene oxide (0.1–0.4 g/L). Morphologies of the surface and cross-section of the composite coatings observed by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) confirmed the existence of graphene oxide particles in the nickel matrix. The results from microhardness measurement demonstrated that the hardness was increased by 1.8 times using 50 W ultrasonic-assisted electrodeposition with the fixed concentration of graphene oxide (0.1 g/L), compared to the pure nickel coating. The hardness was increased by 4.4 times for the 0.4 g/L graphene oxide with the optimized ultrasonic power of 50 W in comparison to the pure nickel coating. Meanwhile, the friction coefficient decreased gradually with an increase in ultrasonic power and concentration of graphene oxide, respectively, where the effect of the concentration of graphene oxide played a more important role. 相似文献

In this paper, the behaviour of the industrial applied Ti/Zr conversion coating (CC) pretreatment on rolled automotive aluminium samples (AA5182) is analysed. Due to its nanometre lateral and depth resolution, Auger electron spectroscopy (AES) is used to analyse the CC distribution at surface cathodic intermetallic particles. As a result of its high surface sensitivity, the AES technique is very susceptible to differences in the top contamination layer thickness. It is demonstrated that AES point measurements performed on aluminium model samples coated with 1.5 and 3 nm of Ti (oxide) layer cannot differentiate the two-layer thicknesses if a difference in the top contamination thickness is not taken into account. A data analysis methodology is introduced, based on the ratio of normalized peak areas (enrichment ratios), to eliminate the effect of the contamination layer thickness. The experimental validation of the methodology is performed on the model samples, demonstrating errors of 2% on the enrichment ratios on similar samples with different contamination layer thicknesses, while the conventional spectra quantification results in errors of 49%. The methodology is also theoretically substantiated within certain constraints. By the use of the AES methodology, an enriched Ti and Zr deposition is confirmed at the cathodic intermetallic particles at the surface of the industrial no-rinse CC sprayed automotive aluminium sheet samples. 相似文献

Hindered amine light stabilizers are used to protect polymers from heat- and light-induced degradation. In this study the oligomeric stabilizer Tinuvin 622 was analysed in-depth employing high performance liquid chromatography/time of flight mass spectrometry (HPLC/TOF-MS) to differentiate products of different manufacturers in respect of their terminating groups and oligomer length. Additionally, the behaviour of the stabilizer in uncured and cured polyester powder coatings was investigated regarding its interaction with the other coating components and chemical changes during the crosslinking process.
