讨论了高品质中空金属光波导的工作原理及其制作工艺,制备了以金和银作为波导材料的中空波导管,并对空芯以及充入不同透明液体的液芯波导的透光特性进行了测试,结果表明:与中空介质波导相比,中空金属波导具有光传输损耗低,透过率对波导弯曲与失调不甚敏感等优点;而液芯金属波导的透光效率与透明材料的折射系数无关。文中描述了在特定波段内“中空光纤”的原理,并报道了He-Ne和CO2激光在中空金壁波导传输的实验结果。 相似文献

The plasmonic waveguiding properties of the gap plasmon mode between two adjacent silver nanowires with a substrate are theoretically investigated using finite element method. The results show that there is a critical gap distance between two silver nanowires which approximately equals to the radius of the nanowires. When the gap distance is less than the critical distance, the influence of the substrate on the gap plasmon mode can be neglected. The gap plasmon mode has a combination of high confinement and long propagation length. Moreover, the plasmonic waveguiding properties of the gap plasmon mode are not sensitive to the wire-to-substrate distance between silver nanowires and the substrate. 相似文献

简要介绍了有限元法与超胞法相结合计算结构声表面波缺陷能带结构的方法,理论上分析了缺陷型表面声子晶体的声限制和声波导.表面声子晶体由刻有周期性凹槽的刚性板构成,通过改变晶体中某一格点或某一排格点的几何参数可以构建点缺陷和线缺陷.利用有限元法与超胞法能够十分方便地计算出表面声子晶体的点缺陷和线缺陷对应的缺陷带结构以及特定频率声波局域在点缺陷与线缺陷的本征压力场.通过分析缺陷能带结构与本征压力场,可以直观地了解缺陷型表面声子晶体中的声限制和声波导. 相似文献

Guided submillimeter radiation (=118.8 m) has been focussed by inserting a cylinder lens into the freely propagating beam in front of the incoupling prism. The beam profile at the focal spot has been determined experimentally, the results agree with theoretical predictions. The optical quality of the focus is good. 相似文献

We have investigated experimentally the optical behaviour of a Vertical-Cavity Surface-Emitting Lasers (VCSEL) when it is
used as a lateral waveguide. This provides a better understanding of the mechanisms involved in VCSEL optical power monitoring
by integrated lateral detection. The lateral optical spectra as well as the waveguide transmission spectrum have been measured.
Their analysis and comparison demonstrate that the lateral signal is mostly coming from the spontaneous emission escaping
laterally from the VCSEL and that light is filtered during the propagation and detection processes. This allows us to explain
previous results obtained in two different configurations of lateral detection. These results are useful to optimize the lateral
detection performances for concrete applications in monitoring or telemetry systems. 相似文献

The application of photosensitive polyimides in electrical and optical interconnection technology is discussed. Critical properties of two photosensitive polyimide formulations with significantly different structural chemistries have been compared. Polyamic ester based formulations such as Selectilux® HTR3 show significant distortions in the photopatterned features upon high-temperature baking, which can be ascribed to anisotropic shrinkage. A BTDA-alkylated diamine based preimidized formulation (Probimide®), on the other hand, shows a more uniform shrinkage of the photopatterned features. HTR3 films interacts strongly with metals such as copper, which adversely affect the photopatternability of these materials. Planarization behavior in multiple layer structures has also been investigated. We explored the viability of these materials for applications in optical interconnection. Probimide® materials exhibit low scattering losses and appear to be promising candidates for the development of a MCM-compatible optical interconnection technology. We also describe here a novel technique for optical recording of refractive index patterns in Probimide® films. 相似文献

表面等离激元是一种存在于金属(或掺杂半导体)-介质界面的电磁极化和振荡现象,可以显著增强纳米尺度光与物质的相互作用,在波导、生化传感、超快调制、探测以及非线性光学等领域具有重要应用前景。表面等离激元的激发主要采用受衍射极限限制的光学激发方式,通常需要棱镜、光栅等大尺寸光学元件的辅助,这极大限制了等离激元器件的小型化和片上高密度集成。通过将等离激元纳米结构和隧道结集成起来,低能量的隧穿电子可以直接激发该结构的等离激元模式,具有超小尺寸、超快调制速度等优点。本文将回顾基于电子隧穿效应的表面等离激元激发的研究历史,并着重介绍该领域的最新研究进展。 相似文献

Room-temperature phosphorescence of metal and heavy atom-free organic molecules has emerged as an area of great potential in recent years. A rational design played a critical role in controlling the molecular ordering to impart efficient intersystem crossing and stabilize the triplet state to achieve room-temperature ultralong phosphorescence. However, in most cases, the strategies to strengthen phosphorescence efficiency have resulted in a reduced lifetime, and the available nearly degenerate singlet-triplet energy levels impart a natural competition between delayed fluorescence and phosphorescence, with the former one having the advantage. Herein, an organic helical assembly supports the exhibition of an ultralong phosphorescence lifetime. In contrary to other molecules, 3,6-phenylmethanone functionalized 9-hexylcarbazole exhibits a remarkable improvement in phosphorescence lifetime (>4.1 s) and quantum yield (11 %) owing to an efficient molecular packing in the crystal state. A right-handed helical molecular array act as a trap and exhibits triplet exciton migration to support the exceptionally longer phosphorescence lifetime. 相似文献
