Summary A model for determination and optimization of the fundamental parameters defining the quality of amorphous solar cells in which optical, electrical and recombination properties are specified is developed. It can be applied to any amorphous solar-cell systems. This paper gives theoretical expressions and describes an iterative method of numerical calculation for the current density of different cells. Results of computer calculations based on this model are presented.
Riassunto In questo lavoro si presenta un modello per la determinazione e l'ottimizzazione dei parametri fondamentali atti a definire la qualità delle celle solari amorfe, specificando le proprietà ottiche, elettriche e di ricombinazione. Esso può essere applicato a qualunque sistema di celle solari amorfe. Sono fornite le espressioni teoriche ed è descritto un metodo iterativo per il calcolo numerico della densità di corrente di alcuni tipi di celle. Sono anche presentati i risultati ottenuti da calcoli eseguiti col computer e basati su questo modello.

Summary The prominent photoelectric parameters of the semiconducting solid solutions Cu x Ag1−x Cd2InTe4 are reported. From the spectral dependence of photoconductivity at room temperature and at 77 K the energy gaps and their thermal coefficients are obtained. The detectivityD *, the photocurrent gainG and the carrier lifetime are measured and the carrier mobility is deduced. In order to improve theD * characteristics, the analysis of its parameters is also performed. Summary The photoconductivity of the magnetic semiconductor compound Cd1−x Mn x Se has been studied at 300 K and at 77K for the first time for several Bridgman-grown single crystals. With this technique it was possible to detect the Mn 3d level. Experimental data found in this investigation reveal that the Mn 3d level is pinned at 1.9 eV below the bottom of the conduction band,i.e. it is independent of temperature and insensitive to the amount of manganese. We study numerically the influence of strong Coulomb repulsion on the current through molecular wires that are driven by external electromagnetic fields. The molecule is described by a tight-binding model whose first and last site is coupled to a respective lead. The leads are eliminated within a perturbation theory yielding a master equation for the wire. The decomposition into a Floquet basis enables an efficient treatment of the driving field. For the electronic excitations in bridged molecular wires, we find that strong Coulomb repulsion significantly sharpens resonance peaks which broaden again with increasing temperature. By contrast, it has only a small influence on effects like non-adiabatic electron pumping and coherent current suppression.  相似文献

The ac-transport properties of a one-dimensional quantum dot with non-Fermi liquid correlations are investigated. It is found that the linear photoconductance is drastically influenced by the interaction. While for weak interaction it shows peak-like resonances, in the strong interaction regime it assumes a step-like behavior. In both cases the photo-transport provides precise informations about the quantized plasmon modes in the dot. Temperature and voltage dependences of the sideband peaks are treated in detail. In this paper we address the problem of the spectral weight transfer in Kondo insulators (KI). We employ the X-boson approach for the periodic Anderson model, in the U →∞ limit. We calculate the two energy gaps of the system analytically: the indirect gap, Δind = Eg ≃ Emir, present in the density of states, and the direct one Δdir, associated with the minimum energy necessary to produce inter-band transitions. We find that the optical behavior of the system is governed by two energy scales: one of low frequency, characterized by Eg ≃ Emir, in the mid-infrared region (MIR), which is a reminiscent of the heavy fermion Emir peak, that appears in Kondo insulators as a broad maximum in the MIR region and that controls the low temperature transport properties, the gap opening in optical conductivity and the formation of the Drude peak, at ω = 0, in the intermediate temperature range. The other energy scale appears at high frequencies, and is characterized by the direct gap Δdir. According to our results, this peak controls the anomalous redistribution of spectral weight in the optical conductivity. We apply the theory in order to study the Kondo insulator FeSi, and we calculate the optical conductivity of the system and the spectral weight transfer in the optical conductivity.  相似文献

We present a theoretical analysis and results of modeling of a new integrated device for spintronics application, which is based on a hybrid metal–semiconductor structure. The proposed device consists of a Si-based p–i–n photodetector sandwiched between two layers of a ferromagnetic metal (3d ferromagnet or half-metallic compound). Electron–hole pairs are created in the semiconductor part of the structure by light illumination. The photocurrent flowing in such a system is shown to depend on its magnetic configuration. This is due to a difference in the specular reflection (as well as in the diffuse scattering) of spin-up and spin-down electrons and holes from magnetically polarized layers—similar to giant magnetoresistance effect in magnetic multilayers. This, in turn, allows controlling the device performance by an externally applied magnetic field. We have estimated magnitude of the effect and also determined the role of relevant material parameters.  相似文献

用LB技术在石英和硅衬底上制备了聚乙烯基咔唑(PVK)的固态有序薄膜.荧光光谱研究表明,PVK在膜中的光致发光主要呈现激基缔合物的发射,其中心波长为418nm;表面光电压谱的测试揭示了PVK聚合物膜/p-Si体系具有显著的表面光伏效应.  相似文献
