A very simple procedure for the efficient oxidation of thiols to disulfides catalyzed by I2/CeCl3·7H2O in graphite and ethyl acetate as the solvent, in an open system at room temperature is described. This article describes the preparation of benzyltriphenylphosphonium peroxodisulfate (BTPPD), an efficient and mild reagent for oxidation of a variety of aromatic and aliphatic thiols to the corresponding disulfides in refluxing acetonitrile. A method for the first direct insertion of difluorcarbene, generated from TMSCF3, into diselenides and disulfides is disclosed, producing novel difluoromethyl diselenoacetals and difluoromethyl dithioacetals. The reaction conditions tolerate a range of synthetically useful and biologically relevant functional groups. The process is scalable, with two representative compounds prepared at a gram-scale in good yields, and it utilizes cheap and available reagents.  相似文献

Silica phosphoric acid was prepared via reaction of silica chloride (I) and phosphoric acid. Thiols can be readily converted to their corresponding thionitrites with a combination of silica phosphoric acid (II), wet SiO 2 , and sodium nitrite in dichloromethane at room temperature. Disulfides result from the homolytic cleavage of the sulfur–nitrogen bond of the unstable thionitrite and subsequent coupling of the resultant thiyl radicals.  相似文献

Abstract

Trimethylphenylammonium tribromide has been introduced as a versatile and new oxidizing agent for the preparation of disulfides and sulfoxides from thiols and sulfides, respectively. The reaction progress is simple, and proceeds under mild and homogenous conditions in ambient temperature.
