Spatial distribution of soil forces on the surface of plough is an important aspect that can help engineers for improving efficiency of tillage implement. It was analyzed at eleven different points of the moldboard plough with the help of sensors accompanied with the virtual instrument developed in LabView software with the aid of other supporting instruments. It was observed that soil forces increased with an increase in speed and depth. Depth changed soil forces more at upper parts than lower parts whereas speed affected rear parts more than the front part of the plough. Draft forces followed almost similar trend and least value of 308.17 N experimental draft force was found at 1 m/s speed and 5 cm depth under 33% moisture content. Cumulative soil forces found too smaller than the draft as they represented the force spatial distribution of specific parts of plough. It was observed that sensor technology provided real time picture of force variation during tillage process that could save time and effort.  相似文献

A high precision computerized instrumentation package was developed and mounted on a 50 kW tractor to monitor and measure various performance parameters of a tractor and implement system. The system was intended to be used for the compilation of a database of draft requirements of tillage implements. The system designed to measure: three-point linkage forces, ground speed, tillage depth, fuel consumption, forward speed, slip, engine speed, hydraulic pressure and fluid temperatures. The data acquisition unit was based on a high speed multi processors Campbell Scientific CR3000 data logger linked to a microcomputer using suitable transducer. The average calibration constants for the rear wheel speed, fuel consumption and three point linkage transducers were 0.0364 m/pulse, 0.000142857 l/pulse and 0.66 mV/kN respectively. The data acquisition system was capable of scanning rate up to 100 K sample/s. Data acquisition system was developed to measure draft of primary tillage implements in vertisol.  相似文献

The Lattice Boltzmann method(LBM) is used to simulate the flow field in a bifurcate channel which is a simplified model of the draft tube of hydraulic turbine machine.According to the simulation results, some qualitative conclusions can be deduced. The reason of uneven flux in different branches of draft tube is given. Not only the vortex rope itself, but also the attenuation of the rotation strength is important in bringing on the uneven flux. The later leads to adverse pressure gradient, and changes the velocity profile. If the outlet contains more than one exit, the one that contains the vortex rope will lose flux because of this adverse pressure gradient.Several possible methods can be used to minimize the adverse pressure gradient domain in order to improve the efficiency of turbine machine.  相似文献

A microcontroller-based embedded digital display and warning system was developed for measuring wheel slippage, velocity ratio, PTO torque, and draft requirement of active tillage machinery. The hardware system included magnetic pickup sensor for measuring the engine speed, load cells and amplifiers to measure and amplify the sensing unit signals of the draft, proximity sensors for wheel slip, and PTO torque transducer for measuring the torque requirement. It was provided with buzzers and LEDs to warn the operator, whenever slip and velocity ratio were not in the desired range based on the algorithm, for maximum fuel efficiency and tractive performance. It measured slippage, velocity ratio, torque and draft with a maximum absolute variation of 12.90%, 7.92%, 8.99% and 11.57%, respectively. The developed system can be easily adaptable to any combination of tractor and tillage implements, and guide the operator for better soil tilth with lesser energy input.  相似文献

An exact analytical method is employed for studying the diffraction problems in an ocean due to the presence of a specific type of cylinders. In this current work, two models are studied: (i) a floating surface-piercing truncated partial-porous cylinder, (ii) a surface-piercing truncated partial-porous cylinder placed at the bottom. In both cases, the configuration of the composite cylinder is such that it consists of an impermeable inner cylinder rising above the free surface and a coaxial truncated porous cylinder around the lower part of the inner cylinder with the top of the porous cylinder being impermeable. By using linear water wave theory, a three-dimensional representation of the problem is developed based on eigenfunction expansion method. The condition on the porous boundary is defined by applying Darcy’s law. Pressure and velocity satisfy continuity conditions across the linear interface between the adjacent fluid domains. Hydrodynamic force, moment and wave run-up are calculated by using the velocity potentials. Comparisons are carried out with results of wave diffraction by a floating and bottom-mounted compound cylinder, i.e., when the whole cylinder is non-porous. Handy agreements are observed from these comparisons. Through numerical tests, various experiments are carried out to investigate the impact of various parameters, such as porous coefficients, draft ratio, the ratio of inner and outer radii, the water depth etc., on hydrodynamic force, moment and wave run-up. The results clearly indicate that an appropriate optimal ratio for various parameters may be considered in designing practical ocean structures with minimum adverse hydrodynamic effect. The appearance of resonance in the results and role of porosity in mitigating resonance effect are explained. Proposal to select various appropriate parameters for the best possible effect is put forward.  相似文献

Experiments were conducted in a Bangkok clay soil to evaluate the performance of a rotary tiller equipped with reverse or conventional blades. The conventional rotary tiller was equipped with C-type blades whereas the reverse-rotary tiller had new types of blades. Tests were conducted on wet land as well as in dry land. Tests were conducted at tractor forward speeds of 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0 km/h. A power-take-off (PTO) power consumed was calculated from the PTO torque and speed. The results indicated that the PTO power consumption was less for the reverse-rotary tiller compared to the conventional tiller for all passes and forward speeds. For both rotary tillers, power consumption decreased as the number of passes increased, whereas power consumption increased when the forward speed was increased. At all forward speeds, the power consumption was the highest during the first pass and lowest during the third pass. The maximum difference of PTO power requirement was after the first pass at 1.0 km/h forward speed. The reverse-rotary tiller consumed about 34% less PTO power under this condition.  相似文献

The three-dimensional turbulent flow in a curved hydraulic turbine draft tube is studied numerically. The analysis is based on the steady Reynolds-averaged Navier–Stokes equations closed with the κ-ε model. The governing equations are discretized by a conservative finite volume formulation on a non-orthogonal body-fitted co-ordinate system. Two grid systems, one with 34 × 16 × 12 nodes and another with 50 × 30 × 22 nodes, have been used and the results from them are compared. In terms of computing effort, the number of iterations needed to yield the same degree of convergence is found to be proportional to the square root of the total number of nodes employed, which is consistent with an earlier study made for two-dimensional flows using the same algorithm. Calculations have been performed over a wide range of inlet swirl, using both the hybrid and second-order upwind schemes on coarse and fine grids. The addition of inlet swirl is found to eliminate the stalling characteristics in the downstream region and modify the behaviour of the flow markedly in the elbow region, thereby affecting the overall pressure recovery noticeably. The recovery factor increases up to a swirl ratio of about 0˙75, and then drops off. Although the general trends obtained with both finite difference operators are in agreement, the quantitative values as well as some of the fine flow structures can differ. Many of the detailed features observed on the fine grid system are smeared out on the coarse grid system, pointing out the necessity of both a good finite difference operator and a good grid distribution for an accurate result.  相似文献

This paper deals with the Traveling Salesman Problem (TSP) with Draft Limits (TSPDL), which is a variant of the well-known TSP in the context of maritime transportation. In this recently proposed problem, draft limits are imposed due to restrictions on the port infrastructures. Exact algorithms based on three mathematical formulations are proposed and their performance compared through extensive computational experiments. Optimal solutions are reported for open instances of benchmark problems available in the literature.  相似文献
