In the present investigation we have analyzed the boundary layer flow of a Jeffrey fluid over an exponentially stretching
surface. The effects of thermal radiation are carried out for two cases of heat transfer analysis known as (1) Prescribed
exponential order surface temperature (PEST) and (2) Prescribed exponential order heat flux (PEHF). The highly nonlinear coupled
partial differential equations of Jeffrey fluid flow along with the energy equation are simplified by using similarity transformation
techniques based on boundary layer assumptions. The reduced similarity equations are then solved analytically by the homotopy
analysis method (HAM). The convergence of the HAM series solution is obtained by plotting (h/2p)\hbar-curves for velocity and temperature. The effects of physical parameters on the velocity and temperature profiles are examined

Synthesis of ferrocenyl Schiff bases ( 1–6 ) was carried out by the condensation reaction of 4‐ferrocenyl aniline with different substituted aromatic aldehydes and acetyl acetone. Compounds were characterized by physical measurements, elemental analysis, FT‐IR, 1H‐NMR and 13C‐NMR spectroscopy. Single crystal X‐ray analysis of compound 2 showed the co‐planarity of both aromatic rings connected by a C–N double bond. Compounds demonstrated reversible one‐electron redox behavior and their peak currents were found to increase linearly with the square root of the sweep rate ν1/2. The overall electrode processes were found to be diffusion controlled. Compounds 1 and 4 showed low cytotoxicity and appreciable antifungal, antioxidant and DNA protection activities. Four new carbamates (RZ1–RZ4) were synthesized from different amine moieties through reported methods. The reaction was monitored using thin layer chromatography and characterization was done using m.p., fourier‐transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), and X‐ray diffraction (XRD) techniques. Density functional theory (DFT) studies were carried out using Gaussian 09 software to compare the theoretical and practical parameters of the synthesized compounds. Highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) and lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO) were also drawn to calculate the energy difference between orbitals. In‐vitro enzyme inhibition potential against acetylcholine esterase (AChE), butyrylcholine esterase (BChE), and protease was checked through standard protocols that suggested moderate inhibition against selected enzymes. Docking studies were also carried out, which depicted that these compounds have ability to bind on the active site of AChE and BChE. 相似文献

Kinetics of D-mannose oxidation by cerium (IV) was studied in a sulfuric acid medium at 40℃ both in absence and presence of ionic micelles. In both cases, the rate of the reaction was first-order in D-mannose and in cerium(Ⅳ), which decreased with increasing [H2SO4]. This suggested that the redox reaction followed the same mechanism. The reaction proceeded through formation of an intermediate complex, which was proved by kinetic method. The complex underwent slow unimolecular decomposition to a free radical that reacted with cerium (Ⅳ) to afford the product. The catalytic role of cationic cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) micelles was best explained by the Menger-Portnoy model. The study of the effect of CTAB also indicated that a negatively charged species was reactive form of cerium (Ⅳ). From the kinetic data, micelle-cerium (Ⅳ) binding and rate constants in micellar medium were evaluated.The anionic micelle of sodium dodecyl sulfate plays no catalytic role. In this paper, we define and study some subclasses of analytic functions by using fractional derivative operator. Some interesting properties, coefficients problems and inclusion results of these classes are investigated. It is also shown that these classes are closed under convolution with convex functions and some applications are given. 相似文献
