The paper presents the results of laboratory measurements of the acoustic nonlinearity parameter for a granite sample from the site of a conducted field experiment. This made it possible to completely confirm the results of the field experiment and explain the occurrence of a large scatter of values for the nonlinearity parameter in the field measurements. The size of the quadratic linearity parameter in granite rocks was determined, normalized to the volumetric concentration of fractures, which can be used for remote estimation of the fracture concentration.  相似文献

Results of a 2004 field experiment aimed at determining the quadratic nonlinearity parameter in granite that forms the shore of the Ladoga lake are presented. The measurements were based on the observation of the nonlinear interaction between monochromatic waves excited by two hydroacoustic radiators of 1 kW each positioned near the shore. The initial level of nonlinear distortions was much lower than the level of the received difference-frequency signal. The quadratic nonlinearity parameter proved to be higher than that reported in the majority of publications. An assumption was put forward that the high nonlinearity of granite is caused by the high concentration of cracks in it. Pieces of rock were taken from the measurement site, and rectangular samples were prepared from them. The samples were studied by the acoustic spectroscopy method in laboratory conditions. As a result, estimates of crack concentration were obtained, which proved to be consistent with the field measurements of the quadratic nonlinearity parameter. Thus, the possibility of estimating the crack concentration in situ from the measurements of the quadratic nonlinearity parameter was demonstrated.  相似文献

The simultaneous ordering of cations in the A and B sublattices of cubic perovskite structure has been investigated by the group-theoretical method. It is found that 147 ordered phases may exist. Among them, there may be 121 phases with simultaneous cation ordering in the 1(a)- and 1(c) positions of perovskite structure. It is shown that 53 phases are described by improper order parameters related to cation ordering, the formation of 56 phases is related to improper rotations of octahedra, and 15 phases are improper ferroelectrics. Calculated structures of some types of ordered low-symmetry perovskite modifications are presented.  相似文献

It is believed that the detection of gamma-ray bursts from evaporating primordial black holes is highly improbable in the near future since the expected photon flux, consisting mainly of photons with energies ≳ GeV, is too low. Contrary to this point of view, we show that a large fraction of the black hole power at the final stage of evaporation (the last 103 s) can be liberated as a burst of soft γ-ray emission of duration 10−1–103 s and luminosity 1028–1031 erg/s in the energy range 0.1–1 MeV. According to our calculations of the black hole evaporation rate (within the Standard Model of elementary particles), when the black hole temperature exceeds approximately 10 GeV, the charged particle outflow from a black hole forms a well-defined plasma and can be described in the hydrodynamic approximation. In this case more than half of the rest energy of a black hole can be converted into soft gamma-rays due to the presence of the magnetic field with energy density comparable to that of charged particles. We consider various mechanisms leading to such transformation and estimate their efficiency. It is shown that, at least, some of the gamma-ray bursts detected by BATSE can be associated with evaporating black holes.
