A block copolymer composed of a flexible polar poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) and a less polar liquid crystalline poly(allene) segments is prepared by the living coordination polymerization of an allene derivative possessing trans‐azobenzene‐containing mesogenic substituent by the use of a π‐allylnickel macroinitiator bearing PEG segment. The thin film of the block copolymer is prepared by the spin coating of its solution onto mica or silicon wafer which proves to possess perpendicularly oriented nanocylindrical microphase separated structures as supported by the differential calorimetric, polarized optical microscopic, grazing‐incidence small‐angle X‐ray scattering, transmission electron microscope, and atomic force microscope measurements.  相似文献

To discover peptide ligands that bind to a target protein with a higher molecular mass, a concise screening methodology has been established, by applying a “plug–plug” technique to ACE experiments. Exploratory experiments using three mixed peptides, mastoparan‐X, β‐endorphin, and oxytocin, as candidates for calmodulin‐binding ligands, revealed that the technique not only reduces the consumption of the protein sample, but also increases the flexibility of the experimental conditions, by allowing the use of MS detection in the ACE experiments. With the plug–plug technique, the ACE–MS screening methodology successfully selected calmodulin‐binding peptides from a random library with diverse constituents, such as protease digests of BSA. Three peptides with Kd values between 8–147 μM for calmodulin were obtained from a Glu‐C endoprotease digest of reduced BSA, although the digest showed more than 70 peaks in its ACE–MS electropherogram. The method established here will be quite useful for the screening of peptide ligands, which have only low affinities due to their flexible chain structures but could potentially provide primary information for designing inhibitors against the target protein.  相似文献

A series of [{(terpy)(bpy)Ru}(μ‐O){Ru(bpy)(terpy)}]n+ ( [RuORu]n+ , terpy=2,2′;6′,2′′‐terpyridine, bpy=2,2′‐bipyridine) was systematically synthesized and characterized in three distinct redox states (n=3, 4, and 5 for RuII,III2 , RuIII,III2 , and RuIII,IV2 , respectively). The crystal structures of [RuORu]n+ (n=3, 4, 5) in all three redox states were successfully determined. X‐ray crystallography showed that the Ru? O distances and the Ru‐O‐Ru angles are mainly regulated by the oxidation states of the ruthenium centers. X‐ray crystallography and ESR spectra clearly revealed the detailed electronic structures of two mixed‐valence complexes, [RuIIIORuIV]5+ and [RuIIORuIII]3+ , in which each unpaired electron is completely delocalized across the oxo‐bridged dinuclear core. These findings allow us to understand the systematic changes in structure and electronic state that accompany the changes in the redox state.  相似文献

Naphthalene diimides (NDIs) are promising candidate for electron acceptors due to their low-lying HOMOs and LUMOs. The functinalization of soluble NDIs at the 2,6-position affects the absorption and electrochemical properties. In this study, NDI-based hybrid dyes NDI-SQ-A, B fused with squaraine chromophore were designed and synthesized in order to elucidate the effects of the substitution on their optical and electrochemical properties. These dyes were successfully synthesized by Stille coupling reactions using 3-stannylcyclobutenediones and brominated NDI derivative, followed by a condensation reaction. DFT calculation predicts that the present dyes adopt distorted structures coming from a steric hindrance between semisquaraine and NDI moieties. The hybrid dyes show low-lying LUMOs due to the introduction of electron-deficient NDI moiety and broad absorption spectra in the far-red region. The absorption spectra of their thin films were bathochromically shifted relative to those in solution, indicating that hybrid dyes formed J aggregates.  相似文献

A micro liquid chromatograph-interfaced Fourier transform infrared spectrophotometer system (LC/FTIR) for on line analysis of liquid chromatography effluents is described. About 2 μg of injected diethylphthalate can be detected using a 0.025 mm pathlength flow cell. Several examples of a micro LC/FTIR are demonstrated.  相似文献

Live imaging of exocytosis dynamics is crucial for a precise spatiotemporal understanding of secretion phenomena, but current approaches have serious limitations. We designed and synthesized small‐molecular fluorescent probes that were chemically optimized for sensing acidic intravesicular pH values, and established that they can be used to sensitively and reliably visualize vesicular dynamics following stimulation. This straightforward technique for the visualization of exocytosis as well as endocytosis/reacidification processes with high spatiotemporal precision is expected to be a powerful tool for investigating dynamic cellular phenomena involving changes in the pH value.  相似文献

The Raman scattering intensities of the NO2 symmetric stretching vibration band were investigated experimentally for some para and meta substituted nitrobenzenes. The excitation profiles obtained with the six excitation wavelengths from 457.9 to 514.5 nm were presented. The results were examined in terms of the Albrecht-Hutley's theory, and the electronic states involved in the preresonance Raman intensity enhancement were suggested.  相似文献

Photochemical reactions of aromatic azide groups were applied for a novel photosensitive silicone ladder polymer, that is, partially vinyl‐substituted polyphenylsilsesquioxane sensitized with aromatic bisazide compounds as a photocrosslinker. The photocrosslinking reaction in this system was investigated from the viewpoint of the efficiency of the photocrosslinker, that is, the ratio of the photocrosslinker consumed for crosslinking. The numbers of photodecomposed azide groups and crosslinks in the polymer were determined by Fourier transform infrared measurements. At a higher bisazide concentration, the predominant reaction of nitrenes formed as the intermediary radical by the photolysis of azide was a coupling reaction that could not contribute to the gelation of the polymer. The ratio of the bisazide compound consumed for crosslinking showed the highest value at its concentration of 3 wt % and decreased with the addition of a larger amount. The semiempirical molecular orbital calculations were applied to the theoretical analysis of the photoreaction of nitrenes using phenylnitrene as a model structure. The calculation results indicated that the coupling reaction of nitrenes should proceed more easily than the photocrosslinking reaction in N2 atmosphere, and the fact that the oxidation of nitrenes should proceed exclusively in the atmosphere including O2 agreed with the experimental results. © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
